April 26.24: Coping, but barely

When I speak of chips,

dear reader,

think not of computers

but of something more toothsome,

of how life melts at times

sweetly on the tongue

(or floor);

it matters not where the stickiness,

but only that it was,

and that it,

so rich in paradox,

awakened us

to dreams,

and to the irrefutable truth

that

— like ants —

there can never be just one.

Connections: May 15

SANYO DIGITAL CAMERACookie tasters

artisans

apprenticed to confection

focused, thoughtful

nimble-tongued

seeking crumbed perfection.

Are chew and crunch well balanced

with cinnamon bouquet?

Should there be more or maybe less?

They must think before they say.

No raisin goes unturned

no chocolate chip is missed

on the steep and sticky road

to Cookieologist.
