April 6.20: Coping

This morning I feel Pliocene,

and maybe you know what I mean:

the sleep that preceded

was not what I needed

and instead of standing I lean.

The coffee has not been invented that will open my eyes this morning.

So, dear reader, any thudding you hear from the American Midwest today

will be me bumping into walls.

  1. 🙂 Besides a good laugh out loud you provided a learning moment because I had to look that word up. As much as I love a good cup of coffee, it can only do so much. Been there, done that, and will surely be there again. Walk safely and sit down more today unless you take a small nap. 🙂

  2. You are amazing! Even though coffee is not helping, you beautiful creative mind can put down on paper what others of us are feeling. It is such a joy and uplift to find your blog every morning dear friend.

    • Thank you! It is sadly true, I agree, that many of us are leaning. Thank goodness some of us can meet in this mysterious cyber world and lean on each other!

  3. Still alert enough to write a clever limerick, however! Just take it easy today, my friend.

    • Thank you! Yes, I’m trying to keep a lid on things, but every time I check the news the lid blows off. I hope you and your family are safe and still healthy.
