Gardeners’ dedication

Many thanks to S.W. Berg for passing it along.

mushed from hot rain
harvest is mildewed
people the same
it sure isn’t summer
nor autumn by right

the dill is up

but a lively efflorescence
of the Could-Be’s in your head.

lines that wiggle
snow that trickles
prickles
tickles
I think I hear a wispy giggle.

coin of spring
today’s frozen assets
tomorrow’s garden bling.
