Is there in this eye
a bit of mockery,
viewing our hard-won landscape,
his charcuterie,
snickering as we
bend our backs,
planting a garden
right over his snacks?

I was going to say it is a pity you haven’t got longer arms to be able to get a picture, but I dare say you’d prefer them as they are, from the point of getting sleeves to fit them if nothing else.

There have been many times when longer arms would have been very handy (pun intended), but, yes, there’s the matter of sleeves. One does not like to have one’s wrists dangling about unsleeved.

So true, so true. Tulips – eaten. Strawberries – eaten. It would be funny if you don’t think about the time, money, and effort. 🙂

That’s right – they’re short the biscuits, sugar, and whipping cream that we have.

Perhaps not mockery but appreciation?

Perhaps, yes. But he’s a sly one, I’m thinking.
