What we see every day
after a bit of life
we no longer see.
Then a puckish light
intrudes
and conjures a shadow
there and not there,
playing,
and we watch
with sudden sight.

You’re causing me to think this Monday morning. š Yes, we display things we have history with and then walk by them each day without actually seeing them. We’re an interesting species. š One thing I always see and appreciate are your posts because they do make me think, and for that I say thank you. Happy Monday.

Thanks, Judy. Something tells me you are doomed to think anyway. Thinking is such a pain, isn’t it? It makes us so uncomfortable at times. As for seeing things, I astound myself at what I don’t see. I recently have had that springtime urge to move things around and I think it has something to do with not seeing things that are in the same place all the time. Now that I think about it, that pretty well describes me!

I think this ‘staying at home’ 24/7 for the past year may also have contributed to us walking around in a daze. Please, bring spring on so we can at least be outside. š

Lovely objects and I like their little hooks. I’m glad you cast new light on them. And I like ‘puckish light’ – it is very coinable.

And I like “coinable”! They are lovely objects, aren’t they, and those hooks cast particularly clever shadows.
