All hail the nap!
That mini vacation,
miraculous reset,
arm-chair sedation,
restoring us to
youthful vigor
instead of creeping
mortis rigor.
So, as fugitive from
myself and the news,
I follow example
of the duck group-snooze.

I will pass along your gratitude to the ducks. Bless them! They are so soothing to watch! Yes, there are some days that absolutely require a nap; I think sometimes the nap kicks in even before I get to the chair! May we endure, Judy!

Even if I just hear a duck quack somewhere, I’m happier. Would love to duck-nap, but I, too, settle for the chair or futon. Lovely words and ducks!

Thank you! Yes, it’s too bad we just can’t tuck ourselves under our wings like the ducks, but, like you, I’ll settle for any place soft. Ducks are great, aren’t they?

I wonder if we would sleep better if we could rotate our heads like the ducks do and turn our backs into warm feather pillows? Perhaps not – if we could, it would be far too tempting to snooze.

I think we absolutely WOULD sleep better! Having a portable feather bed would be (I beg pardon) absolutely ducky! But, yes, too tempting.
