  1. The fall colors are still vibrant here, but there are lots more on he ground than in the trees as compared to last week. πŸ™‚ Fall leaf removal does not fall under my list of jobs to do so I am grateful for that. But, don’t ask me about removing them from the beds next spring because I’ll be pretty grumpy about that exercise. πŸ™‚ Happy Friday, Maureen, and may the colors be a beautiful rainbow in your neighborhood to enjoy.

    • Thanks, Judy! We have indeed seen a gorgeous autumn rainbow in our trees — it was just getting to its big bloom when yesterday we had a day of cold rain and the leaves came right down with the rain. This morning a freeze. I’m hoping there’s still a bit of the rainbow left. It’s not so much of a rainbow by the time you have to dig them out in the spring! A happy Friday to you too!

  2. I am a bit vague about the botany but wonder if they are red all along, just hidden under the green.

    • That is a most interesting theory: they wear the red as a kind of underwear and disrobe late in the year? That gives autumn quite a different aura.
