  1. The butterflies and the hummingbirds are gone from up here, and I hope they have safe travels and find their way back. Happy weekend, Maureen, and I hope your feathered friends are still providing some antics for viewing.

    • Oh, yes, I too hope they have safe journeys! I am sorry to say that the only feathered friends now are those Canadian geese. All of which should go back to Canada as far as I’m concerned. There’s an occasional crow. Crows and geese are not my idea of songbirds — it’s like having Spike Jones fly overhead. Happy weekend to you too, Judy! With sugar!

  2. Yep, we take our laughs anywhere we can find them these days! Those cursed geese are already blatting at my back window this morning. If they only knew how much they look like Christmas dinner…

  3. You’ve got me feeling all sentimental about butterflies kissing flowers. It’s perhaps as well the songbird crows and geese quickly shattered the mood. I’ve had a weird morning that included a cooker going rogue and me throwing my electric toaster in a sink of water.

    • No! This misery is getting to you, I’m afraid. As well it should. We oughtn’t underestimate the toll this is taking on us. I sure hope your day improves, and even as I type that I know that real improvement probably won’t come until important people are back in our lives.

This image struck me as very tender. I suppose there’s something tender about butterflies anyway, but this one in particular struck me as touching. Crows and geese? Not so much.
