  1. He looks bedraggled and as if his head is the wrong way round. Can they do that?

    If he is to be eating from the à la carte menu, he ought to have dressed up – in a peacock’s top knot, perhaps. A blue and emerald one.

    • You’re right — I hadn’t noticed! I don’t think they can do the head trick the way ducks can, but they do have remarkable necks so I could be wrong. Indeed this was one bedraggled bird.

      I will speak to him about proper dining attire. I think a peacock’s topknot would do nicely.

  2. Ooh, nice visitor. It snowed all morning here, it has finally stopped, and it melted. Mother Nature must have thought we needed a little April Fools joke. Not so much. 🙂 Hope you are still well and mentally sound. I’m good on the first half of that. 🙂

    • Ditto. But thanks for the (rueful) laugh. Indeed the mental part is the slippery slope; I suspect we are worse off than we realize. I used to be able to watch the entire NewsHour on PBS. Not any more!

      Snow is the last thing we need right now, even if it melts right away. Mother Nature isn’t as funny as she thinks she is.
