April 9.20: Coping

Just outside my window

comfy as can be

a most complacent duck

dwells in reverie.

Something makes her happy

content to sit a while

a secret she is hiding

with inscrutable duck smile.

With apologies for filmy look:

I had to sneak this through the Venetian blinds.

Maybe someone needs to wash her windows?

Nah…she’s not that bored!

  1. Love the duck! Wash windows, hmm. I used outdoor Windex spray on mine this week – that counts at my place. 🙂

  2. Sounds good to me! Indiana weather was my Windex last night: we got pounded! Hail first loosened the dirt, then wild rains washed it down, and then roaring winds dried everything. Voila! Clean windows!

  3. I love the idea of an inscrutable duck smile and the window is creating a nice romantic filter.

    • Oooh, I like that: a romantic filter! Thank you! I will have to restrain my enthusiasm for window-washing in order to preserve the aura.
