April 25.19

When you know your gorgeousness

because people stop and stare,

you know your very breath

inebriates the air,

you know you’re amethyst laurel

encircling Persephone’s brow,

you can’t pretend to modesty;

you have to take a bow.

Thanks yet again to photographer S.W. Berg.

  1. So true, there is nothing more gorgeous than Wisteria. I always find it interesting that the flowers are amazing but the bush/tree is ugly as sin. I think there’s a lesson there. 🙂

    • Thank you for the laugh! I will contemplate that lesson! I don’t know if it’s blessing or curse, but it seems to me gardeners are always finding lessons in plants. This one will give me a chuckle every time I see a wisteria now!

  2. The tree does seem to be curtseying, now you mention it.
