April 21.19

4 Comments

Among dead leaves

may there be snowdrop,

above dry sticks

a crocus,

purpled with life;

whatever season you ponder,

may new hope

be perennial bloom

overgrowing perennial strife.

Wishing you a lovely Easter Sunday, dear reader, with some sign of spring.

Many thanks to photographer Mary Jo Bassett.

  1. Wonderful sentiments on this Easter Sunday. Here’s hoping you have a wonderful day and lots of lovely new blooms in your life as well.

  2. Spring makes the best patchwork. I love the idea of ‘purpled with life’ and agree we could all do much better without perennial strife.
