In search of story

  1. Timely post. I sit here every day, looking out the sliding doors, and wonder what is at the end of the expanse of water. It always makes me remember I’m no more important than a grain of sand on the beach in comparison to all that is going on around the world. It puts things in perspective. 🙂

    • I do think that is one of the many amazing things about being near the ocean: perspective. We are indeed small. But I don’t know if that means we are therefore unimportant. I’m trying to figure that out. I can picture you at your sliding doors trying to figure out the same thing.

      • That’s right. It always makes me think of the first ‘City Slickers’ with Billy Crystal wanting Jack Palance to tell him what the meaning of life is, and he finally says ‘one thing’ and you have to interpret whatever that one thing is that is important to you.

  2. I don’t know much about movies, so that is all new to me and most interesting. Very good to think about. Thanks!

  3. The photo is the perfect compliment to the beautiful poem. Loved them together! I love to go to the beach in the winter. So peaceful and meditative.
