My Ansel Adams tree
isn’t really mine
and is really three
as close I can divine
in pristine springtime snow
it takes my breath away
if snow were only warm
I could love this every day.

Lovely, even if cold. This demonstrates why it’s recommended that shrub roses are planted in threes.

Really? I had no idea! I thought this was just some accident of nature, but maybe it isn’t. It works wonderfully!

Either way it is wonderful as you say. I used to have two favourite trees growing together on a hillside you could see from the M6 motorway. Sadly, something happened to the little one, so it’s no longer quite the same.
