goes from swooshes to crackles
and the greens give way
to black and brown spackles
and they all play percussion
on their own dry bones
dig out the flannels
dust off the hearthstones
measure your books
and quilts by reams
and see to your stock
of winter daydreams.

It was 24 when I got up this morning. Heat is on, sweatshirts are handy, material is piled up, and books are on reserve at the library. 🙂

Obviously we are of one (brilliant) mind and have our priorities in order, but 24??? Already? Yikes! Oh, I forgot to mention chocolate. My pantry sags with dark chocolate chips (they were on sale). I assume you are similarly fortified.
