Connections: September 3

NURN - 04 (1)

The other day my friend Ann had the water turned off in her apartment building.

Good thing she has a dry sense of humor.

Here is another photo from the S.W.Berg Archives (thanks, Bill!). Bill’s wife, Donna, is the one who inspired “connections” as my current theme. They and my waterless friend Ann and I grew up in the same town and graduated from high school together. We are all 72 now, and still connected. Isn’t that grand?

A bit more of our ancient connections in Homeroom and Old Friends.

  1. I’m really enjoying reading about all your lovely connections (it is a small world, after all!) and seeing these interesting archive photos. I do hope Sadie of the fountain (that’s who she looks like to me) eventually got her feet wet.

  2. I don’t know about Sadie, but Ann had her water back by noon that day. Nothing makes a house a home like pots and pans of water everywhere.

Thanks for visiting! I found your blog yesterday and tried to leave a comment but got confused (not surprising) about the sign-in. I’ll try again!

  3. Those long-lasting connections are worth their weight in gold. Add in the dry humor, and they are priceless.

  4. Exactly so. I know how lucky I am to have them!
